The team of the Regional Youth Center (RYC) - Breznik held a working meeting with Ruslan Zarev, Chairman of the Trun Tourist Association and Rumyana Boyanova, Member of the Board.

The possibilities for future interaction and cooperation in the field of tourism and tourist services with an emphasis on the municipality of Trun were discussed.

The team briefly presented our future plans in this direction. One of the tasks to be completed as soon as possible is the launch of a mobile travel application called travelsofiawest.eu, which will offer in one place detailed and useful information about tourist attractions, places for recreation, dining and entertainment. in the region of Pernik.

In parallel, we are preparing two tourist routes for alternative tourism. The first of them will be related to pilgrimage (religious) tourism, due to the many renovated and functioning monasteries in Pernik region and the formation of the area as "Kraishtensko Svetogorie" (The Holy forest of Kraishte).

The second route will present the monuments of socialist monumental art from the period 1944 - 1989. This type of tourism is especially popular among foreigners, and already in dozens of Bulgarian cities similar thematic tours are offered.

The representatives of Tran Tourist Association also spoke about their activities since its establishment in 2017. The goal for the company and its members is related to the development of tourism and environmental protection. So far, the team has worked actively on the construction of new mountain routes, as well as on the maintenance of existing ones. They are the main initiator and organizer of climbs with Bulgarian and international participation to the very top. They also work on volunteer initiatives related to cleaning and refining.

In 2019, TTD built the first mountain bike route in the region - "VeloErul" with a total length of 56 km. In the same year they became members of the Bulgarian Mountaineering Union and the Organization for Management of the Sofia Tourist Region.

Future cooperation between RYC and TTD will be implemented in several aspects:

  • Providing interesting, useful and important information about the tourist attractions of the region, which will find a place in the sections of the mobile application travelsofiawest.eu;
  • This year the company plans to issue a tourist brochure, where we in turn can provide financial support for printing.
  • Participation of the company in the upcoming farmers' exhibitions (markets), where to present their activities and activities;
  • Cooperation with the team of RYC regarding the advertising and sale of the annual calendar of the company;
  • Joint activities and initiatives in the field of tourism;
  • Participation of TTD in "Social Jam" and hackathon - problems in tourism at regional and national level.

    The RAISE Youth project, implemented by the Center for Development of Sustainable Communities, covers over 500 young people aged between 18 and 29, living in the municipalities of Pernik, Breznik, Trun, Radomir, Zemen and Kovachevtsi, who are not currently involved.
