Last Friday, the CSCD trainers - Diana Georgieva and Nancy Borisova presented the NEMO manual to sixth graders and teachers from Maths and Science High School in Montana within the first information day of the NEMO project.
At the beginning of March in Sofia, in the shared spaces of Sofia Lab and Zone 21, representatives of the NEMO consortium met within three days.
In connection with the work on the NEMO project - Using the "new" media for training and tackling online discrimination against migrants, our team produced a national report on Internet misinformation, migrant issues in Bulgaria and how to deal with prejudices and stereotypes.
In the beginning of 2019 CSCD started the new “NEMO project – the usage of “new” media for training and tackling online discrimination against migrants". Over the next two years our experts in partnership with four other countries (Italy, Hungary, Austria and France), will focus on an image survey of representatives of the following target groups: migrants, aliens, asylum seekers, third-country nationals and ethnic minorities in online space as well as online discrimination and hate speech.
On March 22, the expert Diana Georgieva presented the NEMO project during a conference on the project "Expansion of the Expert Capacity of the Ministry of Interior for Prevention of Aggressive Events in Society, Corruption and Radicalization", with the financial support of the Operational Program "Good governance" co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund ".
Within the Municipality 4 Roma project, three information days were organized in the municipalities, which have previously signed letters of support. At the events, the team of our organization presented the good practices of the municipality of Campobasso, Italy together with the Italian project partners, who also participated in the discussions in real time.
